Louis Vuitton Island Maison at Marina Bay Sands Singapore
With a grand opening the world-famous French fashion house has opened a new luxury destination,

The glass and steel pavilion floating off Marina Bay Sands, mysteriously vacant for so long, is finally open to the public.
Last weekend, Louis Vuitton, a name synonymous with luxury, held the opening bash for its first Southeast Asian maison, and the world's first island concept one to boot.
In what can only be described as a situation akin to Willy Wonka's debut of his new chocolate factory, A-list international, regional and local celebs, fashionistas and the jetsetting crowd came out in full force, eager to sample the multi-sensory delights of Singapore's newly minted architectural and sartorial landmark.

The island maison, with its Peter Marino-designed, nautical-inspired interior, is quite simply a very beautiful store.
Boasting a deck, mezzanine and a gorgeous view of the bay, the maison will also house a bookstore and rotating art exhibitions.
The arts and cultural fest will kick off with a photography showcase including pieces by one very famous and unexpected artist: Chow Yun Fat, who was in town for the opening, along with the who's who of the entertainment circuit.
We've done raving for now. On to the glamor shots!
